{"id":602,"date":"2012-05-29T16:44:27","date_gmt":"2012-05-29T22:44:27","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/benincosa.com\/blog\/?p=602"},"modified":"2020-04-29T18:00:04","modified_gmt":"2020-04-30T00:00:04","slug":"ccie-data-center-exam","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/benincosa.com\/?p=602","title":{"rendered":"CCIE Data Center Exam"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/learningnetwork.cisco.com\/community\/certifications\/ccie_data_center\">CCIE Data Center exam was announced<\/a> in March of this year. \u00a0The <a href=\"https:\/\/learningnetwork.cisco.com\/docs\/DOC-13984\">list of topics<\/a> is quite comprehensive. \u00a0I for one was stoked to see it announced as I wasn&#8217;t even thinking about doing a CCIE until this came up.<\/p>\n<p>After some prodding from my team mates, I signed up for the Beta written exam and I took it today. \u00a0120 questions covering UCS, Nexus 7000, 5000, 1000v, MDS. \u00a0I don&#8217;t know the results of the test because the exam is in beta form and they won&#8217;t give out a passing score until after the beta period ends.<\/p>\n<p>My overall feeling of the written exam in its current encarnation is that it is passible. \u00a0The UCS stuff I know pretty well. \u00a0The other topics&#8230; well, I could use some work. \u00a0But having taken it (and after all its only $50) then I think I&#8217;m ready to get serious and go for the CCIE. \u00a0I&#8217;m setting a timeline of Fall 2013 to have it passed. \u00a0Guess we&#8217;ll see.<\/p>\n<p>Update:\u00a0 I passed the CCIE exam summer of 2014 after 1 failed lab attempt and multiple tries.\u00a0 Was a great learning experience!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The CCIE Data Center exam was announced in March of this year. \u00a0The list of topics is quite comprehensive. \u00a0I for one was stoked to see it announced as I wasn&#8217;t even thinking about doing a CCIE until this came up.
